LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) — Strong storms are expected on Monday afternoon.
From 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. is the highest severe threat.
Be prepared for a line of severe t-storms will move from West to East. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch will be issued ahead of the storms.
Numerous Severe T-Storm Warnings will be issued for straight-line wind. A Tornado warning or two is possible.
Not all areas in the listening area will not receive severe weather, but you should be storm ready as several Severe T-Storm Warnings will likely be issued.
Straight-line wind (wind blowing down then outward) could cause wind damage; power outages and downed trees will be possible.
Very heavy rain and lightning will occur during the storms.
