Saying that it would benefit animals, law professor Martha Nussbaum says that animals should be given legal rights and representation in court. Why? “Humans are dominating all over the globe. There is no such thing as wild nature.”
When asked what kind of legal rights animals need, Nussbaum says, “I think we will want to pass other laws, so it’s really just extending the interest of animals and bringing them into the legal arena that allows good laws to be enforced.”
