A Couple In Pennsylvania Just Celebrated Their 80th Wedding Anniversary

DW: Guess it's not a race to "death to us part"....

A couple’s 50th wedding anniversary is gold, and the 60th is diamond, but what do you get the lovebirds that have been married for 80 years? Robert and Edith Mae Schaum met in high school in 1936 and got married on December 26th, 1942.

It’s quite an accomplishment, but the two 102-year-olds aren’t quite to the world record yet. According to the Guinness Book of Records, the longest marriage was set in 2011 at 86 years and 290 days. By the way, the 80th anniversary is “oak,” and there’s no name for the 90th anniversary…because no one’s ever celebrated one.
