Woman’s Corpse Dissected On Television In ‘World First’

DW: Sounds like something Amazon Prime would green light...

Toni Crews died in August of 2020 from a rare form of cancer in her tear gland and left her body to science, hoping that it would help researchers help other people, and last night it became a world first when her body was dissected on air for a new documentary. The Channel 4 documentary “My Dead Body” shows the dissection during educational seminars.

The network says it’s the first time the body of a named donor has been televised. In a statement, the show is “intended to educate viewers on the science of cancer and its journey through the human body.” The documentary uses AI to process Toni’s diary entries, letters, and social media posts to replicate her voice for the show.
