Is your dog stressed out? Researchers say music can calm them down, but it has to be the right audio for it to work. Researchers from Queen’s University Belfast in Northern Ireland say that classical music can keep your dog calm when you leave the house.
The researchers played Mozart’s “Sonata in D for Two Pianos” and the audiobook version of “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone” for 82 dogs and found that the dogs listening to Mozart laid down faster and were quicker to settle down. Scientists say that even playing music doesn’t do much for your dog’s short-term stress.
