Thai police responded to a report of a dead body on the Bang Saen beach after beachgoers spotted what they thought was a dead woman but turned out to be a hyper-realistic sex doll from Japan known as the “AV Idol.” The sex doll reportedly costs around $500.
The doll was laying on the beach with a shirt draped over its head, and when authorities removed the shirt, they found that the head was missing from the nude doll. Officials suspect that the sex doll was thrown in a river or canal before winding up in the ocean.
