WOMAN SAYS AROUSAL CONDITION RUINING HER LIFE

DW: And the opposite of this condition is called "marriage."

A 21-year-old from Rhode Island, has been living with the excruciating condition of persistent genital arousal disorder (PGAD) for the past 15 years, describing the feeling as a "pins-and-needles" sensation in her nether regions. Scarlet Kaitlin Wallen’s PGAD, alongside other conditions like OCD, has made her reclusive and unable to work or study full-time.

After years of suffering, Wallen finally saw a doctor and was diagnosed with PGAD, as well as congenital neuroproliferative vestibulodynia, a condition that causes hypersensitive pelvic nerves. Despite the challenges, Wallen remains optimistic that one day she'll be able to live a normal life without the constant pain and unwanted arousal, saying, "I'm just hopeful that one day I'll be able to live a normal life.”
