A city in Japan is being warned to steer clear of a cat that was believed to have fallen into a tank containing the toxic substance hexavalent chromium. Security footage shows a cat had escaped from the factory in Fukuyama City Sunday night, after managing to climb out of the tank.
Hexavalent chromium can cause skin and eye irritation and even blindness if touched. Locals are worried and hope the cat is found soon, but officials caution people not to touch the infected feline and to call authorities if they spot it.
