A chef in New Orleans made a miraculous recovery after being reported missing…then dead…then alive. Demietriek Scott, 47, was reported missing on June 10th by someone who said they hadn’t seen Scott in two weeks. The next day, Orleans Parish Coroner’s office let the family know that a dead body found dumped nearby was believed to be Scott. However, when reporters gathered near the family’s house that day to report on the death, Scott came walking right up to the house.
So, where the heck was he? Scott said, “I’ve been around. I essentially just needed some time for myself. ... Life caves in on you sometimes, and that’s just what happened.” He went on to say he had no idea people were so concerned about him and noted that he was “truly grateful” for the outpouring of concern.
