Bruce Springsteen's new album is being embraced across the Atlantic.
High Hopes is debuting at number one on the UK's Official Albums Chart to become his tenth career chart-topper in Britain. It's also put Springsteen at number four on the list of artists with the most UK number one albums. He shares the rank with the Rolling Stones and U2. The Beatles lead the list with 15. Madonna follows with 12, while Elvis Presley and Robbie Williams are in third place with eleven number one albums each.
Springsteen is also on track to top the chart in the U.S. Billboard.com says the estimated first-week sales total for High Hopes is 95,000, which should be enough for the album to debut at number one on the Billboard 200. The official sales figure will be revealed on Wednesday, along with the new chart.
