Lamb of God frontman Randy Blythe says it's "time to get back to work" after feeling like a "mess" for the past week following the death of Gwar leader Dave Brockie.

Blythe told fans on Instagram that he went to Brockie's private memorial on Tuesday, and called it a gift and an honor to be chosen to speak at the service.  Blythe said he actually got heckled a bit, but he considered that to be "entirely fitting at a funeral for Dave."

A public memorial for Brockie is scheduled to take place in Richmond, Virginia on August 15th, a day before Gwar's annual Gwar-B-Q event.

The 50-year-old metal singer was found dead in his Richmond apartment on March 23rd.  Police are still waiting on the toxicology report to determine cause of death.
